The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Lee Park Prep Knights (Monroe, NC), observed Porter Ridge's softball team prevail over Lee Park Prep by a tally of 17-3.

The Pirates (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the Southern Carolina 4A bout with a 12-2 record. In their last bout, Marvin Ridge knocked off Providence (Charlotte, NC), 15-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 7. Lee Park Prep will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record.
