Rhode Island High School Lacrosse - Burrillville drops to Smithfield
April 4, 2023: Esmond, RI 02917 Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) followers exited the stadium content Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the visiting Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI), 8-3 in a non-league battle.
The Sentinels now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ponaganset for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 11. Smithfield will clash with a Chieftains squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Toll Gate (Warwick, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 0-1.
In their next game, the Broncos clash with the Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Friday, April 7. Burrillville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Mariners come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI).
