The Metro-East Lutheran Knights baseball team (Edwardsville, IL), was overwhelmed 17-2 in Thursday's league outing with the visiting Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL)

The Crusaders now hold a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Father McGivney Catholic for a Gateway Metro outing on Tuesday, April 9.

Next, the Knights confront the Lutheran West Longhorns (Rocky River, OH) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 6. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Longhorns go into the outing with a 3-0 record after their 17-1 non-league win over Cardinal Ritter College Prep (St. Louis, MO).
