Georgia High School Baseball - Houston County holds off Etowah
April 4, 2025: Woodstock, GA 30189 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Houston County Bears (Warner Robins, GA) and the host Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA), saw Houston County's baseball team gain a win over Etowah by a tally of 5-1.
The Bears (20-5) will now prepare for their battle against East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA). The Indians enter the non-league battle with a 19-2 record. In their last battle, East Coweta held off Carrollton (Carrollton, GA), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Eagles face the Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Etowah will attempt to upgrade on its 21-3 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 14-10 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Johns Creek (Johns Creek, GA).
