In Friday's non-league challenge, the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) baseball squad the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), by a margin of 5-2.

With the win, Orion betters its record to 9-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to battle the Tigers in a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, April 11. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 7-2. Sherrard won 20-5 in their recent non-league test against East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL)

With the defeat, Illinois Valley Central falls to 4-6 on the season. The Grey ghosts travel to Monticello (Monticello, IL) to battle the Sages in a Illini Prairie test on Saturday, April 8.
