Texas High School Softball - Nixon-Smiley gets by Stockdale
April 8, 2025: Nixon, TX 78140 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) and the visiting Stockdale Brahmas (Stockdale, TX), observed Nixon-Smiley's softball team get by Stockdale by a final score of 5-4.
The Mustangs (5-10) will now prepare for their bout against Luling (Luling, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region IV District 27 bout with a 12-12 record. In their last bout, Luling tipped Karnes City (Karnes City, TX), 16-8, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Brahmas battle the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 27 bout, on Friday, April 11. Stockdale will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 10-2 league loss to Goliad (Goliad, TX).
