The Jay County Patriots triumphed over the host Marion Giants softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the Elwood Panthers (Elwood, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 10. Jay County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 10-0 league loss to Eastbrook (Marion, IN).

The Giants (5-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern (Greentown, IN). The Comets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-17 record. In their last challenge, Eastern was routed by Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN), 6-4, in a league challenge.
