The Metamora Redbirds baseball squad (Metamora, IL), was edged 8-7 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL)

With the triumph, Illinois Valley Central moves its record to 21-10 on the season. The Grey Ghosts host Mendota (Mendota, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league contest on Friday, May 16. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 8-16. Mendota lost 10-4 in their recent non-league contest against Sandwich (Sandwich, IL)

The Redbirds now possess a 10-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dunlap for a Mid-Illini contest on Monday, May 19. Metamora will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 23-7.
