Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC), 6-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Ninety Six upgrades its record to 20-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Pelion (Pelion, SC) to play the Panthers in a AA Region 2 game on Friday, May 16. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 16-6. Pelion won 18-8 in their recent non-league game against Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC)

The Knights now own a 16-8 record.
