Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Knox Redskins (Knox, IN), witnessed Morgan Township's softball squad tip Knox by a count of 6-4.

The Cherokees now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Kankakee Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, May 21. Morgan Township will face a Kougars squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Pioneer (Royal Center, IN). The Kougars record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Knox moves to 9-14 on the season. The Redskins travel to Plymouth (Plymouth, IN) to face the Pilgrims/Rockies in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 24. The Pilgrims/Rockies go into the match with a record of 5-19. Plymouth lost 16-5 in their recent non-league match against Culver Academies (Culver, IN)
