The Hanover Central Wildcats softball squad (Cedar Lake, IN), was routed 5-1 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN)

With the triumph, New Prairie improves its record to 20-6 on the year. The Cougars host Portage (Portage, IN) to face the Indians in a non-league contest on Friday, May 23. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 9-17. Portage won 19-7 in their recent league contest against Michigan City (Michigan City, IN)

The Wildcats now hold a 11-12 record. They play next when they travel to Illiana Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 27.
