Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 4-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Northern Guilford improves its record to 22-4 on the year. The Nighthawks host Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to play the Mavericks in a non-league game on Friday, May 9. The Mavericks enter the game with a record of 18-3. Marvin Ridge won 16-6 in their recent non-league game against Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC)
