The Metro-East Lutheran Knights baseball squad (Edwardsville, IL), was edged 4-3 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL)

With the triumph, Springfield Southeast moves its record to 8-16 on the season. The Spartans travel to Pekin (Pekin, IL) to confront the Dragons in a non-league contest on Friday, May 9. The Dragons come into the contest with a record of 6-17. Pekin lost 14-0 in their recent league contest against Canton (Canton, IL)

The Knights now possess a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mater Dei for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 8. Metro-East Lutheran will confront a Knights squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL). The Knights record now stands at 5-13.
