May 8, 2025: Berea, KY 40403 Berea Pirates (Berea, KY) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, KY), 8-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Berea upgrades its record to 10-11 on the year. The Pirates host Holmes (Covington, KY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 6-9.
The Panthers now own a 7-14 record. They play next when they travel to Garrard County for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Frankfort will play a Golden Lions squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Golden Lions record now stands at 12-13.
