The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) baseball trounced the visiting St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers (Sandusky, OH), 7-0 in Friday's league challenge.

The Chieftains now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mohawk for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 10. Hopewell-Loudon will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 10-1 league win over Wynford (Bucyrus, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 14-3.

With the defeat, St. Mary Central Catholic drops to 11-9 on the year. The Panthers host Lakota (Kansas, OH) to clash with the Raiders in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Monday, May 12. The Raiders go into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Lakota won 10-3 in their recent league challenge against Old Fort (Old Fort, OH)
