The Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) softball nipped the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Abingdon for a non-league outing on Friday, June 6. Staunton River will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 22-4.
