The River Ridge Knights football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Cherokee Warriors to 23 in the Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Denmark for a non-league test on Friday, August 22. River Ridge will meet a squad coming off a 24-21 non-league loss to Sequoyah (Canton, GA). The record now stands at 0-1.

The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sequoyah (Canton, GA). The Chiefs enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Sequoyah edged Denmark (Alpharetta, GA), 24-21, in a non-league test.
