Georgia High School Football - Upson-Lee defeats Union Grove

August 15, 2025: Thomaston, GA 30286

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) and the visiting Union Grove Wolverines (McDonough, GA), saw Upson-Lee's football team gain a win over Union Grove by a final score of 42-21.

With the win, Upson-Lee advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Knights host Manchester (Manchester, GA) to encounter the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, August 22. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Manchester lost 17-6 in their recent non-league bout against Harris County (Hamilton, GA)

The Wolverines now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Eagle's Landing Christian Academy for a AAAA Region 2 match on Friday, August 22. Union Grove will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 31-7 non-league loss to First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-1.
