Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots (Baytown, TX) and the visiting Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX), observed Goose Creek Memorial's volleyball team top Crosby by a count of 2-0.

The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Lutheran South Academy notched a victory over Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Humble for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 16. Crosby will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ball (Galveston, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
