The Southridge Raiders nudged the host Mt. Vernon Wildcats volleyball team by a tally of 3-2 in Saturday's league outing.

The Raiders now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Washington for a Pocket outing on Tuesday, August 19.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 19.
