Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Starkville improves its record to 8-7 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to face the Rockets in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 3-2. Neshoba Central won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS)

The Trojans now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neshoba Central for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21.
