North Carolina High School Soccer - New Hanover knocks off Coastal Christian
August 19, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28401 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC), saw New Hanover's soccer squad knock off Coastal Christian by a score of 4-1.
The Wildcats (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Ardrey Kell nipped Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC), 4-1, in a non-league test.
The Centurions now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Felton Grove for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. Coastal Christian will meet a Galaxy team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Galaxy record now stands at 0-2.
