The Meridian Wildcats volleyball squad (Meridian, MS), dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS)

With the win, Northwest Rankin improves its record to 7-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Pearl (Pearl, MS) to encounter the Pirates in a Class 7A Region 3 battle on Thursday, August 21. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 0-9. Pearl lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS)

The Wildcats now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quitman for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 19. Meridian will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
