August 21, 2025: San Diego, CA 92122 The University City Centurions football squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Mar Vista Mariners to 0 in the Centurions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Centurions now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host West Hills for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. University City will meet a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Mar Vista drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Crusaders go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
