The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers (Wahoo, NE) and the host NEN (Wisner, NE), saw Bishop Neumann's softball squad nip NEN by a score of 4-2.

With the triumph, Bishop Neumann improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cavaliers host Centennial (Utica, NE) to face the Broncos in a non-league contest on Saturday, August 23. The Broncos enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

The now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Polk County for a non-league contest on Saturday, August 23. NEN will battle a Slammers team coming off a 18-12 non-league loss to Highway 91 (Leigh, NE). The Slammers record now stands at 0-1.
