The Northwest Vikings softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Hastings Tigers to 3 in the Vikings league win on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beatrice for a B District 5 test on Saturday, August 23. Northwest will meet a Orangemen squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Orangemen record now stands at 1-0.
