Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) and the visiting Ralston Valley Mustangs (Arvada, CO), observed Cherokee Trail's volleyball team hold off Ralston Valley by a count of 3-2.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Douglas County (Castle Rock, CO). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Douglas County got by Rangeview (Aurora, CO), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Fort Collins Lambkins (Fort Collins, CO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 26. Ralston Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Lambkins go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Erie (Erie, CO).
