In Thursday's non-league bout, the Del Valle Cardinals (Del Valle, TX) volleyball team held off the visiting Taylor Ducks (Taylor, TX), by a margin of 2-1.

The Cardinals now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hays for a non-league bout on Friday, August 22. Del Valle will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Waller (Waller, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 4-5.
