August 21, 2025: Oneida, KY 40972 Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY) and the visiting Red Bird Cardinals (Beverly, KY), observed Oneida Baptist Institute's volleyball team top Red Bird by a count of 3-1.
The Mountaineers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Barbourville (Barbourville, KY). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Barbourville notched a victory over Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Cardinals battle the Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY) in a District 49 contest, on Friday, August 22. Red Bird will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Generals go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lee County (Beattyville, KY).
