The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Boyertown Bears (Boyertown, PA) and the host Upper Perkiomen Indians (Pennsburg, PA), witnessed Boyertown's football squad edge Upper Perkiomen by a count of 20-17.

The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Exeter Township (Reading, PA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Exeter Township got by Daniel Boone (Birdsboro, PA), 64-7, in a non-league contest.
