The Braden River Pirates football squad scored 24 points and limited the visiting Cypress Creek Coyotes to 20 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sarasota for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Braden River will face a Sailors team coming off a 36-30 non-league loss to Bayshore (Bradenton, FL). The Sailors record now stands at 0-1.

The Coyotes (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Gators go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Land O' Lakes was edged by River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL), 10-7, in a non-league challenge.
