The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) and the host Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA), witnessed Point Loma's football squad topple Del Norte by a final score of 42-24.

With the win, Point Loma advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pointers travel to Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Otay Ranch won 37-6 in their recent non-league battle against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA)
