California High School Football - Merced sneaks past Patterson

In Friday's non-league test, the host Merced Bears football squad scored a close 30-23 triumph over the Patterson Tigers.

The Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Gregori for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Merced will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-0.

The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their game against California (San Ramon, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
