North Carolina High School Football - Swansboro can't hold off South Columbus

August 22, 2025: Swansboro, NC 28584

The South Columbus Stallions got by the host Swansboro Pirates football team by a score of 27-21 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Stallions play the West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 29. South Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 48-8 non-league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).

The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Pamlico County was edged by KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC), 72-7, in a non-league challenge.
