In Friday's non-league match, the host Cornerstone Academy Cougars football squad scored a good 30-14 triumph over the The Classical Academy of Sarasota Patriots.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind (St. Augustine, FL). The Dragons come into the Sunshine State - First Coast (8 Man) match with a 0-0 record.

Coming up next, the Patriots meet the Geneva Classical Academy Knights (Lakeland, FL) in a Sunshine State - Central (8 Man) match, on Friday, August 30. The Classical Academy of Sarasota will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 41-38 non-league win over Lakeside Christian (Clearwater, FL).
