August 23, 2024: Durham, NC 27703 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the host Southern Durham Spartans (Durham, NC), saw Topsail's soccer squad knock off Southern Durham by a count of 3-1.
The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Catamounts enter the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Panther Creek by Broughton (Raleigh, NC), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Spartans battle the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 26. Southern Durham will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Crusaders enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 1-1 non-league South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
