The Vela Sabercats volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Comfort Bobcats/Deer to 0 in the Sabercats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Sabercats now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Jourdanton for a non-league outing on Friday, August 23. Vela will play a Indians/Squaws team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Stockdale (Stockdale, TX). The Indians/Squaws record now stands at 6-1.
