Destiny Christian Academy Lions (Sacramento, CA) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA), 22-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Destiny Christian Academy improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Lions host Rio Americano (Sacramento, CA) to play the Raiders in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 28. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Thundering Herd now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Natomas for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26.
