Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad tip the visiting Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Holmes (San Antonio, TX). The Huskies come into the 6A Region IV District 28 challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, Holmes was nudged by Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Matadors meet the Fox Tech Buffaloes (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 27 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Seguin will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX).
