Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) and the host Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX), observed Canyon's volleyball team hold off Friendswood by a tally of 2-1.

The Cougars (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Reagan (San Antonio, TX). The Rattlers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Reagan got by Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 27. Friendswood will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Wolverines enter the contest with a 10-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Needville (Needville, TX).
