The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies football team (Trussville, AL), was knocked off 48-24 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL)

The Red Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Smiths Station (Smiths, AL). The Panthers come into the 7A Region 2 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Smiths Station was knocked off by Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL), 54-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gadsden City for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Hewitt-Trussville will meet a Titans team coming off a 27-20 non-league loss to Carver Montgomery (Montgomery, AL). The Titans record now stands at 0-1.
