Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) and the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), saw Dan River's volleyball squad nudge Halifax County by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Dan River improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to George Washington (Danville, VA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
