The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA), saw New Covenant's volleyball squad nudge Jefferson Forest by a count of 3-2.

The Gryphons (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lynchburg HomeSchool (Lynchburg, VA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Lynchburg HomeSchool was tipped by Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA), 3-2, in a league contest.
