August 28, 2024: Erwin, NC 28339 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) and the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), witnessed South Johnston's football squad knock off Triton by a tally of 16-8.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Corinth Holders was knocked off by Broughton (Raleigh, NC), 34-7, in a non-league outing.
With the defeat, Triton drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Hawks host Sanderson (Raleigh, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 5. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 1-1. Sanderson won 42-30 in their recent non-league outing against Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC)
