North Carolina High School Football - Hobbton falls to Triton

August 28, 2025: Erwin, NC 28339

The Triton Hawks felled the visiting Hobbton Wildcats football squad by a margin of 35-21 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Hawks now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fuquay - Varina for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Triton will meet a Bengals squad coming off a 28-2 non-league win over Apex (Apex, NC). The Bengals record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Hobbton drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Dixon won 57-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Beddingfield (Wilson, NC)
