Wisconsin High School Football - Laconia tops Markesan
August 29, 2024: Rosendale, WI 54974 The Laconia Spartans football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Markesan Hornets to 8 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lomira for a Wisconsin Flyway test on Friday, September 6. Laconia will meet a Lions squad coming off a 21-20 non-league loss to Edgerton (Edgerton, WI). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Markesan drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Deerfield (Deerfield, WI) to meet the Demons in a Eastern Suburban test on Friday, September 6. The Demons come into the test with a record of 2-0. Deerfield won 14-12 in their recent non-league test against Johnson Creek (Johnson Creek, WI)
