The Brewer Patriots football team (Somerville, AL), was topped 40-13 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Priceville Bulldogs (Priceville, AL)

With the win, Priceville advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Ardmore (Ardmore, AL) to encounter the Tigers in a 5A Region 7 bout on Friday, September 5. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 2-0. Ardmore won 48-6 in their recent non-league contest against Clements (Athens, AL)

Coming up next, the Patriots confront the Guntersville Wildcats (Guntersville, AL) in a 5A Region 8 battle, on Friday, September 5. Brewer will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 21-10 non-league win over Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL).
