Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), 40-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Upper Scioto Valley improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Rams host Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH) to meet the Tigers in a Northwest Central test on Friday, September 5. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-1. Waynesfield-Goshen lost 42-19 in their recent non-league test against Ada (Ada, OH)

With the defeat, Cory-Rawson drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Fighting hornets host Hardin Northern (Dola, OH) to meet the Polar Bears in a Northwest Central test on Friday, September 5. The Polar Bears go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Hardin Northern lost 48-8 in their recent league challenge against North Baltimore (North Baltimore, OH)
