The Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA) football trounced the visiting Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA), 49-6 in Friday's league outing.

The Battlin' Miners now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mahanoy Area for a Colonial-Schuylkill - C outing on Friday, September 5. Minersville will clash with a Golden Bears squad coming off a 42-0 league loss to Williams Valley (Tower City, PA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Shenandoah Valley drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to clash with the Hurricanes in a Colonial-Schuylkill - C outing on Friday, September 5. The Hurricanes come into the outing with a record of 2-0. Schuylkill Haven won 54-0 in their recent league outing against Panther Valley (Lansford, PA)
