In Friday's non-league game, the Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC) football team edged the visiting Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), by a tally of 35-28.

The Trojans now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Florence for a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. Northwestern will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 22-21 non-league win over Summerville (Summerville, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Ridge View drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC) to clash with the Silver Foxes in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Silver Foxes come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Dutch Fork won 47-21 in their recent non-league outing against Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC)
